Will there be time enough?
Just around the corner is Peyrusse le Roc, several beautiful walks starting from the campsite (you can even join the route to Santiago de Compostela). At a stone's throw you'll find medieval Figeac, birthplace of Champollion, the decipherer of the Hieroglyfs on the Rosetta Stone, Villeneuve d'Aveyron and Villefranche de Rouergue one of the many bastide towns in the Aveyron. Belcastel, Najac, Cajarc and of course Bournazel with their beautiful castles. St. Cirque La Popie, beautiful Conques, Rocamadour and Cahors.
Plenty of pleasant local markets with fresh products of the region, flea markets and attractive special summerfestivals.
Beautiful handmade Laguiole knives, various special cheeses and the spectacular Millau bridge.
Lots of outdoor sports, including hiking and biking, horseback riding, or fishing, but also canoe trips on the rivers Célé of Lot.
